Microsoft is throwing everything at Copilot. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Windows, GitHub. It is integrated everywhere. The ambition is clear: Copilot should be the AI layer over every Microsoft product you use. But ambition is not the same as execution. Copilot is still figuring out what it wants to be. Sometimes it is brilliant. Writing a document? Copilot is great. Summarizing a meeting for you? Amazing. Debugging code? Surprisingly competent. Microsoft strategy is clear: if Copilot becomes the default AI everywhere, it locks users into Microsoft ecosystem. That is the real product. For now, it is working, but the real test will come when a rival does the same thing better.
